Sichuan Home

Welcome to Sichuan Home, a gem nestled in the heart of San Francisco at 5037 Geary Blvd. This Sichuan restaurant has earned a reputation for serving some of the most authentic and delightfully bold flavors of Sichuan cuisine. Whether you’re a lifelong fan of spicy food or just dipping your toes into the world of mala flavors, Sichuan Home promises to enchant your palate.

One of the standout features of Sichuan Home is its diverse menu, which showcases a mastery of classic Sichuan dishes. The Pot Stickers ($10.95) offer a perfect crunch with a savory filling, making them an irresistible start to your meal. For something crispy yet delicate, the Crispy Pork Wonton ($12.95) and the Egg Roll ($9.95) are excellent choices. The inclusion of Sichuan Style Rice Cake And Brown Sugar ($12.95) offers a sweet twist to balance the savory offerings.

  • Vegetarian Options: The menu caters to vegetarians with delightful choices like MaPo Tofu ($16.95), which can be made without minced pork, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the complex flavors of Sichuan spice without compromise.
  • Standout Favorites: The Spicy Beef Soup has been described as a warming cure for chilly days, enveloping diners in a rich, aromatic broth that embodies the heart of Sichuan cooking.

The ambiance at Sichuan Home is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for casual dining with family or friends. Many patrons, like Andrea Santos, express their delight in the spicy fish paired exquisitely with the gentle heat of garlic eggplant—a dish that perfectly balances sweetness with spice.

The restaurant's commitment to authenticity is echoed in glowing reviews from food enthusiasts who appreciate both the delicious flavors and the generous portions that encourage sharing and exploration. Rachel McGill highlights the homemade soy milk and a complimentary cabbage side, which add thoughtful touches to the dining experience.

Moreover, Sichuan Home excels at offering vegan options, ensuring that all diners can enjoy its tantalizing dishes. The crunchy Cucumber Salad and the refreshing Bean Jelly serve as refreshing contrasts to the heat of the mala spices, creating a well-rounded meal.

In terms of service, diners frequently rave about the friendly and swift staff, making every visit a seamless experience. As shared by Stuart Hwang, your table could easily become emptied of food in a matter of moments, thanks to the irresistible flavors that beckon for another bite.

In conclusion, if you find yourself craving authentic Sichuan food, Sichuan Home is a must-visit. Whether you’re indulging in the rich, complex layers of their clay pots or savoring the warming embrace of their spicy soups, each dish is crafted to impress. Come for the food, stay for the experience, and leave with a newfound love for Sichuan cuisine.

Some of the best Sichuan cuisine and they are open late. I drop by every chance I get. Very good to excellent: Couple’s Delight, clay pots, cumin lamb, fish in hot oil, eggplant. Dandan noodles ok, didn’t like the Chongquing Chicken or tea smoked duck as much. There are so many other tasty dishes. Need to go w a bigger appetite to try the bigger dishes. Drooling....time to go, again! Few more visits later.... Spicy beef soup does the trick on a cold, dull afternoon. It’ll spice you up from the inside out with a complex mix of Sichuan flavors. Lunch food comes, we get eating, then oops where’d the food go!? We tried a squid dish, duck in lotus leaf and eggplant. So yummy!

Amazing food. Some of the best chicken I've ever had. Everything is also clean and pleasant looking. It's not traditional Sichuan food, but it's a great take on it. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.

finally tried sichuan home for lunch after hearing the rave reviews and it lives up to its accolades. cozy and comforting environment with the kindest servers, sichuan home feels like an unassuming neighborhood restaurant with amazing food. the complimentary cabbage side dish and fruit dessert were a great touch. would come back! spicy fish & chinese herb spice: the perfect spice level and packed with the mala spice flavor. large portion. highly recommend. garlic eggplant: the perfect side dish leaning on the sweeter side to offset the rest of the sichuan spice. veggie chow mein: standard fare, you know what to expect. fried chicken: don’t remember the exact name but super crispy and perfectly cooked.

Incredibly authentic and delicious Sichuan Chinese food. Many vegan food options available. The soy milk is homemade and absolute perfection. They bring out tea, pickled veggies, and little dessert cakes on the house. Deep flavor in both the mapo tofu and the Dan Dan noodles (ask for no meat if vegan or vegetarian). Great spice levels too. I would go here all the time if I lived in San Francisco.
